CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY
“Clinical psychologists are experts in mental health. They have undertaken highly specialised training in the diagnosis and psychological treatment of mental, behavioural and emotional disorders. I am a Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Psychology Board of Australia/ Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency (AHPRA). I provide individual assessment and therapy for adolescents and adults experiencing a broad range of acute, chronic and complex mental health and relationship issues.
Evidence-based treatment interventions include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), the Flash Technique, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR); including Internal Family Systems and Attachment informed EMDR
I am an EMDRAA Accredited Practitioner and EMDRIA Certified Therapist.
I am currently practicing within a multidisciplinary team at the Next Step Drug and Alcohol Service (Esast Metropolitan Health Service), where I facilitate inpatient psychoeducation groups and deliver individual therapy to outpatient clients with substance use disorder and co-morbid presentations.
I have presented my research findings of Pain Processing as a finalist at the Emerging Researchers Awards (Sports Medicine Australia, 2015) as well as my translational research into Social Anxiety (AACBT National Conference, 2019). A THERAPEUTIC ALLIANCE
I believe in an empathic therapeutic relationship as a central element to facilitating change; working collaboratively with clients to integrate a variety of evidence-based practices to suit each individual and their presenting concerns. My therapeutic stance is informed by explorative guidance in aiding clients to attain a more in-depth insight into the nature and roots of their problems, reduce their negative symptoms, grow their innate strengths, and live a more meaningful life.

REFERRALS, REBATES AND FEES
REFERRALS - currently closed for new referrals
You do not need a referral to see a psychologist, however, if you talk to your GP about it and if applicable, they will complete a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) under the Better Access initiative. This will enable you to receive a Medicare rebate.
Medicare Easyclaim/EFTPOS and Private Health Fund rebates are available on-site, so you can receive your rebate at the time of your appointment.
